Here are a few things I love…. Sewing, Australia, Pinterest.
Ok so there ARE a few others (you know like my husband, kids, friends etc) but let’s just say for the purposes of this post that these are my top three.
This is why I decided to start up the Pinterest board “Sewing Down Under” to showcase the projects, patterns and tutorials made by our talented fellow Aussie and Kiwi sewists.
It’s not that I don’t enjoy seeing all the amazing creations made by our northern hemisphere friends. In fact some of my favourite pattern designers and bloggers are from the UK and USA.
But I thought it would be really great for us to be able to share sewing projects appropriate to our current seasons & holidays, like fun summer Christmas projects, or Father’s Day (in September) or Australia Day for example.
And let’s face it, there’s like a gazillion bloggers up north and only a handful of us down here (proportions exaggerated for dramatic effect) so it will be a great way for us to view and share our homegrown talent.
