I’m back today with anothery just like the othery… Yesterday I showed you the Rowan tee hoodie I sewed up for Titchy Threads pattern testing.
Well, here’s my second version…same pattern – different features.
Kind of like my second child… (is it wrong to compare children with sewing patterns?)
This time we have a regular neckline, regular hem, sleeve cuffs, shoulder stripes and patch pocket.
I also went to the effort of top stitching everything and I love the finish.
What I didn’t go to the effort of doing however, was checking that “no scaling” was clicked before printing. Grrrrr…
For a while there I couldn’t understand the major size difference compared with the first Rowan I made, until I came to printing my next pattern and then… DUHHHH!!! *palm meets forehead*
So it’s a size 3 but more like a size 2. Despite that, it actually still does fit. Just!
Good fabric helps and this time it’s a gorgeous European knit – Lillestoff Lothar Stars in Orange sourced from Crafty Mamas, another awesome Australian knit fabric supplier.
Check out the perfect eating line in the next pic…this child is definitely mine!
So what do you think…do you prefer stars or llamas?
Kids Clothes Week is on this week so it’s the perfect opportunity for me to share all these recent kid sews. I’ll be back tomorrow with a different pattern and more fun fabric.
