January Sewing Plans

Hooray!  So here I am in my little corner of cyberspace.  I’m so excited to be here and even more excited that you’re reading this post!

One of the reasons for starting this blog was to inspire me to become more skilled and efficient with my sewing.  That means trying new techniques but also making myself accountable for the projects I want to complete.  Plus I love writing lists!

to do list

With that in mind, for my first post I want to share my (possibly ambitious) sewing plans for January 2014:

1)      Participate in the Sew Delicious Sweet Pouch Swap – I was lucky enough to see the call out for this round of the swap early and managed to nab myself a place – yay!  I just love this idea and can’t wait to join in the fun.

2)      Plan for Kids Clothes Week starting 27th of January.  I have plans to sew five items of clothing for my boys that week (in total, not each!), three of which I’ve never made before.  I am ambitious or an overachiever (or silly)? – you decide.

3)      Write a useful blog post.  The educator in me demands that I try to be at least a little bit useful to others by sharing a tutorial or skill that I’ve learned (bossy isn’t she?)

4)      Finish the dress for myself that I started last month.

I also want to work more on setting up this blog properly.  I’m brand new to blogging and not very tech savvy so it might take a while!

So, there it is.  Not sure if I’ll manage it all, but hey, if I don’t what’s going to happen?

Happy sewing!

Nat
